Mobile NVIS Loop Antenna

The SMC Mobile HF Loop Antenna is the ultimate solution for high-frequency communication without the limitations of traditional vertical whip antennas.

Unlike the ‘skip zone’ experienced with traditional antennas, our Mobile HF Loop Antenna, designed for NVIS communication across 3-15MHz, offers unparalleled efficiency with no skip zone whatsoever.

This advanced antenna automatically tunes across its frequency range in less than a 50th of a second, ensuring seamless compatibility with virtually any HF transceiver, including frequency hopping types, without the need for a separate control.

Built upon the proven success of the SMC mobile NVIS loop, trusted by organizations worldwide, this latest version boasts an upgrade to ruggedized thick-walled tubing, delivering unparalleled performance and durability.

Explore the various versions available to suit your needs:
1. Vehicle roof-bar fitment with a convenient ‘fold-down’ facility.
2. Side mounting on the vehicle for versatile installation options.

For added customization, the standard loop roof bar attachment is designed for roof bars measuring 32mm x 22mm in cross-section. However, we can manufacture attachments to match your individual requirements.

In receive mode, the antenna can be factory-set to automatically store its tuning settings for the last tuned transmit frequency, optimizing receive efficiency for non-scanning/frequency hopping modes.

Alternatively, upon user preference during ordering, it can be factory-set to operate ‘un-tuned’ in receive mode, allowing wide-band reception for scanning modes such as ALE (Automatic Link Establishment) reception.
